Strategies for Success
Studying for Tests/Quizzes
Throughout the year the students will be given class notes, worksheets, homework and review sheets. When studying for a test/quiz students should review all this material. They should come to extra help if they have further questions, or would like to review more before the test/quiz. Students can create their own flashcards to help them study. Getting a good night sleep, and eating breakfast in the morning before the exam will help get them ready for the day ahead.
Completing Homework
Students are encouraged to review class power points and presentations by visiting the documents section. Students should think about what was discussed in class and see how that relates to the homework. While writing down their homework in their planners students should think, do I have any other questions on the homework?
Organization
Every so often students will have open notebook quizzes. Students should keep all social studies materials in their notebooks/folders.
